Detailed Itinerary of the 7 Days Congo Virunga & Kahuzi Biega Gorilla Safari
Day 1: Kigali City Tour to Goma
When you reach at the Kigali International Airport, you are welcomed and transferred for a precise City Tour around Kigali Rwanda’s Capital. After City Tour, embark on journey to traverse the Rwanda-Uganda border where you clear with the border and later you proceed to traverse the Uganda Dr Congo border into Goma Town. On arrival here, proceed to check-in lodge for Dinner and overnight. Hotel Ihusi.
Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Virunga National Park
Today Mountain Gorilla Trekking is your prime adventure to do in the thick green vegetation habitat. Continue to park headquarters for briefing on conduct around the Mountain Gorillas then later you are allocated in groups of 8 with a park ranger.
Enter the Forest i your groups to trek the majestic Mountain Gorillas for 3-5 hours and when you meet them, an hour is allowed in their presence taking many photos to keep
If you finish Gorilla Trekking, proceed to check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Kibumba Tented Camp.
Day 3: Guided Nature Walk in the Park
Enjoy breakfast then with an informed park ranger, enter the forest on a guided nature walk around the green forest vegetation terrain.Visit the close by communities, plantations then later go to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Kibumba Tented Camp.
Day 4: Kahuzi Biega National Park
Today enjoy breakfast then with your luggage, embark on transfer traversing into the Southern Province of the DR Congo to Bukavu Town. You leave Bukavu to Kahuzi Biega National Park and on arrival here, check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Coco Lodge.
Day 5: Eastern lowland Gorilla Trekking in Kahuzi Biega
Have early morning breakfast then continue to the park headquarters for briefing on conduct around the Eastern Lowland Gorillas then later in allocated groups of 8 with your park ranger guide, enter the forest to trek the Gorillas for 3-5 hours.
Search and trek them then after a while you meet them and take many photos to keep about your Gorilla Trekking Adventure in the forest. Dinner and Overnight at Coco Lodge.
Day 6: Second Gorilla Trekking in Kahuzi Biega National Park
Get up early have breakfast then proceed on second Gorilla Trek in Kahuzi Biega National Park. You proceed to the Park headquarters for short briefing on conduct around the Eastern Lowland Gorillas then later in groups of 8 with a ranger guide, enter the forest to trek the Eastern Lowland Gorillas for 3-5 hours.
On finding them, an hour is allowed int heir presence taking photos to keep with you. Later after Eastern Lowland Gorilla Trekking, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Coco Lodge.
Day 7: Depart to Kigali
Enjoy breakfast then with all your belongings, embark on departure to Kigali International Airport to go back home. You traverse the DR Congo-Uganda border then Uganda-Rwanda border into Rwanda then Kigali Airport.
