Detailed Itinerary of the 5 Days (Budget) Uganda Bwindi Gorillas & Lake Bunyonyi Safari
Day 1: Drive to Bwindi National Park (Rushaga Sector)
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport then meet the driver to transfer you to the Western part of Uganda via the Masaka-Mbarara high way. Enjoy Lunch on the way at Agip motel then proceed to the park where you check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Rushaga Gorilla Camp.
Day 2: Gorilla Trek at Bwindi Forest National Park (Rushaga Sector)
Morning breakfast then head to the park headquarters for short briefing on conduct around the mountain gorillas. Enter the green forest to trek the Gorillas in groups of 8. After you are led into the forest to trek the Gorillas for 3-5 hours and after sometime in the forest, you meet the Gorillas and stay in their presence for an hour taking photos to keep. After Gorilla Trekking, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Rushaga Gorilla Camp.
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After Breakfast, embark on transfer to Lake Bunyonyi and on arrival at the Lake proceed on Batwa Cultural performance where you learn about the traditions, customs of the Batwa people. Dinner and Overnight. Bunyonyi Overland Resort.
Day 4: Boat ride and Community Visit
Enjoy Breakfast then go on boat cruise in canoe along Lake Bunyonyi to different Islands watching birds then later break off for lunch. After proceed to visit the local community to learn about the traditions, customs of the local Batwa people. After the community visit, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Bunyonyi Overland Resort.
Day 5: Departure to Kampala/ Entebbe
Breakfast then depart to Kampala and lunch is en-route then after continue to Entebbe International airport for return flight back home.
